EAT All American clinic....No other camp in the country has had the 4 best guards from the class of 2012 on the court at the same time.

The first annual EAT All American clinic was a huge success. Held in Los Angeles for a first time event I dont think it could have been put together any better. With a influx of talent from all around the country it stood second to none. No other camp in the country has had the 4 best guards from the class of 2012 on the court at the same time. With a great mixture of talent from classes 2012 through 2016. No camp in the country can state the claim of having had the best player in the country from the 2012,2014,and 2016 classes. There was as many as 12 potential pros at this camp. As follows is a player by player breakdown from the camp.

1. Shabazz Muhammad- Looked great in the open court and down low rebounding. Did not see alot of his jump shot but that was due to his relentless attacking of the rim. Has a motor that dont stop best in the country right now in his class. Only weekness that was seen would like to see him use off hand more. Top of the square leaper with ease.

2. Rodney Purvis- Got to anywhere on the court when he wanted the game comes very easy to him. Scored when he wanted and set up teammates great. Wish I could have seen him press the issue a little more as he keep me wanting more and more. Baby Wall could one day be a top 5 pick.

3. Archie Goodwin- Looked great attacking the rim and was one of few players that got to the line alot in the game. Very explosive off the dribble upside is tremendous. Played off his teammates good for this kind of event. Would like to see him convert free throws a little better has a tendency to push shot a little. Very young could be a sophomore as he just turned 16. His top 20 ranking dont do him justice should be top 10.

4. Ricardo Ledo- The most gifted offensive player at the event scored with ease at times. Real explosive off the dribble. Very passionate for a kid of his age tends to get frustrated a little I think he will grow out of that. Has as much upside as any kid in his class when he starts to go hard every possesion the skys the limit. I see him exploding for multiple 40 and 50 point games in the season.

5. Johnathan Williams III- Very long and fluid did a good job of coming down with rebounds and pussing the ball up court. Think a young Lamar Odom. Finished on the offensive end with some very timely baskets. Has to get stronger to realize his full potential. As his aggresivnes increases watch him climb the rankings.

6. Jahlil Okafor- Think a young Eddy Curry was a absolute man down low nobody could stop him. Very lite on his feet for his size you can tell he has been worked with. Has to shed some baby fat but could one day see him ranked no 1 in his class. Big man is to tough for anyone his age right now.

7. Leron Black- Oozing with potential. Very athletic has a lot of bounce in his game. Played his role and did what he should have for a kid his age. If he grows to 6’8 or 6’9 watch out world. Has to get a little lighter on his feet and continue to work on his shot. Will be a multiple position player.

8. Shaqquan Aaron- Very smooth for a kid his age can play multiple positions. Had a couple real nice drives to the basket. Another kid whos upside is through the roof. Handles the ball great for a kid his size has a very nice skill set. Has to fill out a little and get stronger.

9. Byron Zeigler- Upside, upside, and more upside. Kid attacked relentlessly on both ends. His rise out of know where should be over. Looked very impressive in workouts as looks like he could be a long jumper. Took off a few times from close to the free throw line. Has to continue to develop his jump shot.

10. Greg McClinton- For a kid coming of a knee injury less than a year ago I couldn’t believe his explosiveness. Plays very hard and is quick to pick things up as seen in the workouts. Caused some problems on the defensive end for whoever he was guarding. With the right work will be a definite high major prospect. Shoots awkward but can be fixed no problem.

11. Demetris Morant- Is a jumping jack. Flat footed dunks with elbow around the rim. Seemed to have solid post moves down low and can alter shots on the defensive end. For a kid who has only played organized ball for 3 years look for big things to come. Has to work on not getting lost in the moment.

12. Rosco Allen- Tall and agile think Kyle Singler. Can really fill it up. Would be better suited for a different style game as the all star game setting takes away form his game. The kids a winner and can be seen as a true specialist on the next level.

13. Stephen Domingo- Very smooth game. Elevates very well off the pull up. Reminds me a little of a young Josh Childress. Pushes shot a little but can be fixed. Went hard in all the workouts. Kid seems like a winner all the way around.

14. Rashad Muhammad- A little shorter than big bro but seems to have some growing left in him. Plays hard which seems to run in the family. Good skill set and a very intriguing prospect I think will be a little of a late bloomer and will suprise people with his development between his Junior and Senior years.

15. Tyrek Coger- Impressive young prospect. Big man needs to grown a little more and turn some baby fat into muscle. Very light on his feet I look for him to become more explosive. Finished well around the basket in traffic. Fights down low for loose balls seems to have a nose for the ball.

16. Aaron Dawson- Seemed to distribute the ball very well as he recognized who to get the ball to. Steady floor general showed some flashes of good changing speeds. Needs to be a little more assertive at times but looks to be a very good prospect. Could be a great 4 year college guard.

17. Jordon Mathews- Controlled the tempo of the game great when he had the ball in his hands. Picked and choose his spots very well. Didn’t try to do to much as comes with years of coaching. You can definitely tell he is a coaches son. Seemed to shoot the ball pretty well as well.

18. Derryck Thornton Jr- Best 7th grader in the country at his positon. Has a very nice handle for such a young kid. Controlled the game did some great things on the court and impressed me with his poise due to the level of competition around him. It says a lot about the kid at his age to be in the same gym with some of the other kids on this list. Has to continue to work hard and you will be hearing alot about him for years to come.

19. Christian Popoola Jr- For a kid thats not been playing a long time very well developed. Once again it was the poise that impressed me the most. His shot seems to be true out to 3 point range and handles the ball well for his position. Plays hard at a young age which is something that is hard to teach. Will have to continue to develop.
