UNC bound James McAdoo scored 24 points from 21 shots from the field with 5 rebounds and 0 blocks. Notate that 18 of McAdoo’s 24 points were in the second half. McAdoo has the athleticism, size and touch to be a consistent 20-12 kind of player with stronger commitment. McAdoo ceiling is very high. Dwyer, led by top national quarterback Delrionte Brissett scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Brisset in his 4th game of the year plays the game with the right attitude. Dwyer 71, Norfolk Christian 68. 2012 Riverside Academy power block prospect Ricardo Gathers had another double double performance with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Gathers is of brute strength and is on most colleges wanted list. 2011, 6’5 Adonis Burbage is a player that fits in most systems with his ability to hit the pull-up, 21 footer and can finishes well around basket. Burbage was 10-13 form the field, 2-2 from three scoring 24 points and 4 rebounds. Burbage played an efficient game and should have all the mid/high on their check list. Super Frosh 2014 Shaqquan Aaron had another resume building performance shooting 6 for 8 from behind the arch and connecting on 24 points Vs. St. Patricks defense. Aaron as we mentioned last summer is going to be special as he continues to grow mentally and physically on the floor against the best. 2012 Xavier Johnson was competitive tonight and deserves to be mentioned with the top prospects in his class. UCLA is leaning hard for Johnson. 2014 Stanely Johnson grabbed 9 rebounds, 7 points, 1 block and 1 steal for the versatile frosh who fills up the stat sheet probably better than any 2014 prospect in the nation. 2012 Katin Reinhardt had a sub-par shooting night tonight and we look forward to seeing if he can bounce back tomorrow night. St. Patrick’s Michael Gilchrist is challenging his #2 ranking from several publications in tonight’s performance scoring 34 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Western Kentucky bound Derrick Gordan is a dynamite perimeter scorer shooting 7 for 12 from the field with 17 points and adding 4 assist. St. Patrick over Mater Dei 71-61. Shabazz Muhammad scores 24 points in 19 minutes of action. Muhammad was constantly in attack mode while shooting a good percentage from the field with the most efficient mid-range game in the tournament. Muhammad efforts and should be a lock for all tournament selection despite his team going 2 for 2. Rosco Allen bounces back with 16 points, 5 blocks while dishing out 4 assist vs Fort Myers. Winter Park Austin Rivers played yet another strong first half with 16 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Austin was slowed down in the second half by Milton’s Dai-Jon Parker who was able to keep Rivers in front. 2011 Bill Dee Williams is athletic, long and active on the boards. Williams is not overly skilled but is more of a glue guy that would fit in allot of systems. Florida Atlantic bound point, Brett Comer is on one button, fast forward. Comer is a competitor and pushes the ball up the floor by dribble and the pass. Comer was contained in this game by the Milton’s guards quickness and strength. Milton’s Julian Royal continues to play consistent. Royal runs the floor finishes in traffic and has a great feel in finding the sweet spots on the floor and putting the ball in the basket. Georgia Tech landed an impact player in Royal. Dai-Jon Parker mentioned before put on a strong second half defensive effort Vs. Rivers. Parker who signed with Vanderbilt is a strong explosive athlete at the combo position and posses some touch from the perimeter. Ohio St. bound Shannon Scott played yet another balance game. Scott does a great job making his teammates better. Scott has great timing and knows where the touches need to be and is very active in his dribble penetration to the basket constantly applying pressure. Milton over Winter Park and will play in the championship game Vs. St. Patrick. Very Athletic is BYU bound Damarcus Harrison who finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds Vs. a very athletic Whitney Young. Marshall Plumlee not as active tonight with only 4 shot attempts for 5 points and 6 rebounds. College of Charleston T.D Dixon shot the ball well and was solid at the point for Christ School. Dixon scoring 15 points and dishing out 6 assist. Whitney Young Sam Thompson offensively today was average. Thompson had two blocks and 4 steals and is an excellent athlete who we feel will be a nice athletic piece at Ohio St. Thompson still needs strength and a consistent touch from the perimeter. Very high ceiling for Thompson on the next level if he decides to commit himself in the off-season. UNC-Wilmington Luke Hager played very consistent and is a motor player that attacks the basket from mid range out to the perimeter.
