What is your official height?
6’7”
What position do you see yourself playing in college?
The 3 or the 4. Most likely a “stretch 4”. I will probably grow a few more inches and shooting is one of
my strengths.
What do you feel is your greatest asset on the floor?
Being able to score both on the perimeter and in the post.
How would you describe your game to someone who hasn’t seen you play?
I would say that I am a versatile player. I can take bigs outside on the perimeter and post up smaller
players.
What aspect of your game are you most focused on improving?
Attacking the basket off the dribble
Which colleges have shown the most interest in you?
Utah, Utah State, BYU, Stanford, Creighton, Arizona State, Portland, San Francisco
Which colleges have offered you a scholarship?
Utah and Utah State
Have you been on any visits to colleges, and do you have any plans to in the near future?
I have visited Utah, Utah State, and BYU many times. I plan to visit Creighton on August 1 st and
Stanford and San Francisco the middle of August.
Which coaches have impressed your family, over the phone or in-person, and why?
I really like all of the coaches that have been my primary recruiters. Coach Connor at Utah, Coach
Jones at Utah State, Coach LaComb at BYU, Coach Schrage at Stanford, Coach Lutz at Creighton, Coach
Pera at ASU, Coach Pfaff at Portland and Coach Wicks at San Francisco. They have all really respected
my time and have shown great interest in me as a player and as a student.
Do you prefer the east coast or the west coast?
West Coast
Who is your favorite NBA player?
LeBron James
Who is your favorite NBA team?
Miami Heat
Do you prefer Nike or adidas?
I prefer Nike, but we are required to wear Adidas for Utah Pump N Run
Who are some of your mentors who have helped you get to where you are right now?
My Mom and Dad have been a huge support for me my whole life. Also, my High School Coach,
Golden Holt, and AAU coaches at Utah Pump N Run.
How has playing with your high school team been helpful to you?
I started as a Freshman 2 years ago and gained valuable experience. This past season we won the 4A
State Championship. That experience helped me to realize that I can compete with anyone.
What are your short-term goals on the court?
Win 2 more State Championships my Junior and Senior years. To play at the highest level of college
basketball that I can.
What are your long-term goals?
Serve an LDS mission. Graduate college. Play basketball as long as I can….then become on
orthodontist.

We talked with 2014 Utah Orem High forward Dalton Nixon over email for a question and answers session.
