PremierBall sat down with Palo Verde HS point guard Eris Winder for a questions and answers session during July’s Las Vegas Classic.

What is your official height?
6-0.
How would you describe your game to someone who’s never seen you play before?
I’m a playmaker.
What would you say is your strongest asset on the court?
My strongest asset is my ability to get to the basket.
Which schools have shown the most interest in you?
UTEP, Long Beach State, Nevada, Drake, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and BYU.
What schools have offered you a scholarship?
Nevada, UTEP, Long Beach State, and Drake. (Editor’s note: Since we conducted this interview, he has added an offer from Portland State.)
What’s the most important thing to you in making your decision?
My comfort level with the school and coaching staff, and being able to get playing time.
What aspect of your game have you been working the hardest on to improve?
I’ve been working hard on my step-back jump shot.
What aspect of your game have you improved the most in the past year?
My jumper.
Who are some of your mentors who have been a big help to you?

Do you prefer the west coast or the east coast?
I’d prefer to play on the west coast or in the midwest.
Who’s your favorite NBA player?
Kobe Bryant.
