report_evanRoquemore

Evan Roquemore, Combo Guard(6-foot-3)
2010, NV/ Foothill

Good athlete who can shoot off the catch and the dribble. His stock is blowing up as of late fall as his body is starting to mature. His explosiveness and his bounce is getting better every game we scout. Roquemore will excel at both guard spots on the next level. Evan is a young senior with great upside. Scored over a 1600 on his SAT. Will create(44 Points in season Opener Thriller!!) and score while making his teammates better.

report_ansonWinder

Anson Winder, Guard(6-foot-4)
2010, NV/ Bishop Gorman

Athletic Guard with good height and bounce. An overall talent who signed with BYU. Can shoot the ball but excels in the transition game. Can go over the top on the finish and plays all three back court positions. Loves to pressure defend and rebound the ball. Showed he can play in his own spotlight with some impressive leadership plays in some tough gritty games.

report_Grant Jerrett

Grant Jarret, Foroward (6-foot-8)
2012, CA/ LaVerne Lutheran

(USC, UNLV, Arizona, Cal, UCLA) Good skill set for BIGMAN and has length. Two more inches and he will be a household name. Showed off his 1-2 bounce dribble game complimented by up and unders and step throughs. Jerretts’ solid low post foot work helped him get the free throw line over 20 times in the semifinal game. Good touch out to 17 feet and has an awesome upside.

report_cjCooper

Carl “CJ” Cooper, Point Guard(6-foot-0)
2010, CA/ LaVerne Lutheran

Good shooter and leader. Played solid defense and took care of the ball well. Led his team to the semifinal game and showed a well balance game at the point. Can shoot off creation and the catch and shoot. Cooper is a good looking prospect at the point that plays with solid fundamentals.

report_marcusThornton

Marcus Thornton, Combo Guard(6-foot-2)
2011, MD/ Bishop McNamara

The most impressive scorer of the tournament. Probably the best 1-2 bounce dribble pull up game I have seen in two years. Scores at will and loves to knock down the big ones. Plays good defense and is a good athlete as he showed he can bang out above the rim on transistion. Great energy and feet.

report_brandonColeman

Brandon Coleman, Forward(6-foot-6)
2010, MD/ Bishop McNamara

An elite wide receiver prospect who has received scholarship offers from football powers Notre Dame, Maryland, Wake Forest, Boston College, Rutgers, Miami the list goes on. PremierBall caught an impressive game where he completely dominated the paint and destroyed Hoovers’ elite Angelo Chol who wanted no parts of him! Closed the game out with (dunk after dunk x 5) and showed us that he was the enforcer. Big time athlete that’s raw but plays the game like a warrior.

report_johnLoyd

John Loyd, Guard(5-foot-9)
2010, NV/ Bishop Gorman

The MVP of the tournament. Dyno-Mite explosive and plays with the gears from time to time. Really loves to push the rock and make all his players look like world class sprinters trying to be there for the end finish. Has a good shot and uses the pull-up and a floater in the lane. Great on the ball defender and has a heart of a champion. Good leader and an good passer. Loves to compete and win.

Angelo Chol, Forward(6-foot-9)
2011, CA/
Hoover

UCLA, Kansas, UCONN, Georgetown, Washington,  and several others. Mr. California state sophomore of the year had an overall solid tournament. Good rebounder and shot blocker. Loves to control the paint.

Deividas Pukis, Wing(6-foot-5)
2011, TX/ Christian Life Center Academy

Lights out shooter with good mechanics with size. Had a few big games in the tournament behind the arch and showed off his size and strength by posting the little guards up for easy buckets.

report_taylorSpencer

Taylor Spenser, Shooting Guard(6-foot-3)
2010, Las Vegas/ Bishop Gorman

A month ago I called Spenser a football player. But at the championship game he proved he was a basketball ball player. Taylor plays the game like a winner. With heart soul and confidence. He connected on 4 three-pointers in the final game and energized the Gaels’ to the championship trophy with star player Shabazz Muhammad out for the tournament. He is known for his half court set dunk dribble drives that leave you wondering how did he get to the rack? Great multi sport talent that plays with energy and good basketball  instincts.

-Sleeper-

D’khari Hicks, Point Guard(5-foot-7)
2013, Las Vegas/ Faith Lutheran

Great feet and flare for the game.  A Little on the short side but a solid growth spurt will land him at the top of the class. Has all the special tangibles to be a special player. Quick feet, quick hands, excellent balance, competitive spirit and vision. Showed a few plays of greatness in the championship game with a few no looks that left me scratching my head. Good energy.

PremierBall.com would like to thank Coach Rice and the entire Bishop Gorman’ staff for opening their doors and allowing us to cover the entire tournament.

We want to apologize for not being able to see all the kids play since there where two gyms rolling at the same time. Again great tournament and congrats to Bishop Gorman for winning the championship. We hope to see everyone back next year!
