Player Of The Week: Adam Schmitt

This weeks’ player of the week goes to (Coronado) Jr. Adam Schmitt, 2011-LISTmember. Schmitt is a 6′4, big body shooter that simply lights up the basket when he is feeling it. Schmitt also has the ability to dominate the defensive boards by using his body and solid foot work. Last week Schmitt led his Coronado Cougars to to six straight wins while compiling some great stats. Vs Basic High Schmitt hit 5 threes and scored 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Vs Liberty Schmitt scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 blocks. Vs Green Valley Schmitt continued to dominate by leading his team to 6 straight victories including a double double, 10 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assist, 6 assist and five blocks. Congrats to Coronado Jr. Adman Schmitt.

About the Author: Christian T. Popoola graduted from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2006 with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. He was a member of the mens basketball team from 1999-2001, winning the Mountain West Conference championship in 2000 and also participating in the 2000 NCAA tournament. He made the Mountain West Conference all academics team from 1999-2001 and was a member of the African American honor society. After graduating from UNLV he went on to become the Marketing Executive for UNLV booster organization called the Basketball club. There he continued to support the institution as well as the mens basketball program by networking and maintaining relationships with the fans and donors around the Las Vegas valley. He also helped to raise over $100,000 for the University of Las Vegas men’s basketball team. Christian's career goes on to include producing over millions in annual sales of residential real estate for his five year real estate career. He currently personal trains 20 month twin boys, writes up on Las Vegas Basketball and conducts basketball camps for the youth. His goal is to connect, network and grow. -"No Player Left Behind"-
