Longhorns rip lethargic Panthers 77-68

Legacy high school longhorns finished the game Friday night the same way they started, with confidence and intensity that could not be matched by a Palo Verde team that came out of the gate flat and uninspired. The longhorns Sian Laine opened the game with several threes and defensive steals to set the pace for the next thirty two minutes. Palo Verde relied heavily on the three point shot instead of pounding it inside against an undersized longhorn team. Ira Haywood and Sian Laine had 17 points apiece for the longhorns, as well as Sam Johnson’s 12 point, 12 rebound effort. Moses Morgan led the panthers with 24, followed by Andrew Topham’s 14.
