Findlay (18-1) won the Hampton Inn Invitational

Findlay (18-1) won the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by Henderson International School with a 109-68 win over St. Andrews (RI) and a 91-70 win over National Prep (CA).  Westwind Prep defeated St. Andrews 98-90 in the consolation game. For the season, Findlay averages 92.1 points per game and allows 61.9.

Game 1

Saturday, Findlay defeated St. Andrews 109-68.  Six Pilots scored in double figures lead by Jabari Brown's 28 points including 5 threes.  Tristan Thompson scored 17 points with 10 rebounds on 8 of 12 shooting in 20 minutes of play.  Nick Johnson scored 15 points, with a tournament high 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Senior Thomaas Laerke scored 13 on 5 of 6 shooting.  Sophomore Winston Shepard had 10 with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  Unsigned Senior Godwin Okonji scored 11 with 5 rebounds, 3 steals. Cory Joseph scored 7 with 6 rebounds in 19 minutes of play. 

St. Andrews was led by Eric Sherman and Ricardo Ledo who both scored 12 and Aboubacar Casse scored 10.

Game 2 

Saturday, National Prep defeated Westwind 110-107.  National had 7 players in double figures led by Monzaigo Williams and Stephan Hicks with 18.  Erick Dawson scored 15.  Tramel White 13. Willie Hankins, Royce Williams, Deaundray Robinson scored 12 apiece. 

For Westwind, Jamaal Franklin scored 23, Bo Barnes had 21 including 5 triples, Brandon Tuggle scored 18, Tony Snell scored 14, Freddy Wilson 10.

Consolation Game 

Sunday, Westwind had a come from behind victory over St. Andrews 98-90.  Westwind was lead by Jamaal Franklin’s 23.  Tony Snell scored 19.  Bo Barnes had 15.  Brandon Tuggle and Ludovic Ndaye each scored 12.

For St. Andrews, Michael Carter-Williams scored a tournament high 28 including three 3’s.  Aboubacar Casse scored 17.  Youri Dascy scored 15.  Michael LaPlante scored 14.  David Curtis scored 9.

Championship Game

In Sunday's Championship game, Findlay defeated National Prep 91-70.  Cory Joseph did it all with 26 points, a career and tournament high 16 rebounds and 5 assists.  Joseph shot 10 for 16 from the field.   Tristan Thompson scored 18 with 5 rebounds, 2 blocks.  Co-MVP Nick Johnson scored 12 with 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and forced two 5-second calls defensively.  Unsigned Senior guard Marko Petrovic scored 13.  Unsigned Senior Godwin Okonji scored 7 with 6 rebounds.  Junior Jabari Brown scored 9.  National Prep was lead by Stephen Hicks 20 points including 5 triples.  Monzaigo Williams scored 19.  Willie Hankins scored 12.
