Foothill hands Valley early exit in 76-63 defeat.

The Foothill Falcons came into thursday nights match up with Valley high school, with high expectations of reaching the state finals and catapulting its program into an elite class within many Las Vegas valley circles. From the onset of this match up, it was clear that both teams had no intentions of backing down to the other. Valley applied consistent and effective pressure against Foothill’s two primary ball handlers Evan Roquemore and Tyland Copeland, forcing several turnovers that led to easy lay ups and an early lead. during the course of the game both teams went on scoring spurts keeping the score close up until the final four minutes of the contest. In the end, the Falcons prevailed behind Evan Roquemores 37 points and 7 rebounnds, as well as Tyland Copeland’s 11 points and 4 rebounds. Valley was led by Junior Angelo Coleman’s 22 points and 6 rebounds. Next up for the Falcons is the very talented and athletic Canyon Springs Pioneers.
