Findlay, Nick Johnson commits to University of Arizona

Findlay senior Nick Johnson has committed with the University of Arizona. As one of the top ranked 2011 players, Johnson helped lead Findlay to a 32-2 record this season and the ESPN Rise NHSI championship. Johnson averaged the most points per game ever for a non-senior at Findlay at 14.2 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.0 steals including a season high 34 points & 11 rebounds vs Westwind Academy. Nick had over 8 assists in 4 games and 9 games over 18 points. Nick was MVP of the Hampton Inn Invitational and all tournament team at multiple events.
Nick helped lead arguably the best AAU program of the summer, the Oakland Soldiers under Mark Olivier, to multiple championships including winning the Fab 48 in Las Vegas and the Best of Summer Tournament in Anaheim. Nick participated in the Lebron James Skills Academy and Deron Williams Skills Academy.
Johnson also was invited to the Nike Global Challenge and made the all-tournament team. He finished 3rd in scoring at 27 points per game. He also was 4th in steals and 4th in 3-point field goals made.
Nick has been invited to the Boost Mobile Elite 24 on August 28th and will participate in the slam dunk contest on the 27th.
Nick is the son of Michelle and Joey Johnson.
