Day 3 Recaps (Each One Teach One Bracket)

Game 17 Shadow Ridge (NV) vs. Northwood (LA)
Zach Hafen had a team high 23 pts in Shadow Ridge’s first win at the tournament. The final score was 73 to 68. Josh Youngblood added 14 pts for the Mustangs. Northwood was led by Jemarica Houston with a game high 26 pts. The Falcons will play Cedarbridge in their final game tomorrow.
Game 18 Inglewood (CA) vs. Green Valley (NV)
Inglewood used a strong second quarter to build a 9 pt halftime lead. Green Valley fought hard and almost close the gap but the Sentinals will move on to the consolation championship. Rhon Mitchell and Julius Bilblew each had 13 pts for Inglewood. Green Valley once again were led by Deandre Kambala and Durrell Mc Donald with 16 and 15 pts respectfully. Green Valley will face Mojave in their final game tomorrow.
Game 19 McQueen (NV) vs. Cedarbridge (Bermuda)
Cedarbridge came back from 13 pts down at the start of the fourth quarter but McQueen had enough in the tank to escape with the 54 to 50 win over the Wildcats. The Lancers were led by Joe Saarem with 15 pts. The Wildcats were led by Jonathan Lowe and Tejour Riley with 14 pts apiece. McQueen will face Shadow Ridge in final round play.
Game 20 Banning (CA) vs. Mojave (NV)
In overtime Banning comes out victorious with a 64 to 56 win over Mojave. Michael Alexander led the Pilots with 19 pts while Dioncee Holts scored 18 pts. The Rattlers were led by Royale Jackson with 17 points. Banning will next face the Inglewood Sentinels in final round play.

Game 21 Las Vegas (NV) vs. Pacific Hills (CA)
Tyree Anderson scored a game high 28 pts including 9 for 9 from the free throw lane to win the game 74 to 64 in third round action. Hassan Henderson also had 20 pts for the Wildcats. For Pacific Hills Donte Smith had
16 pts. The Bruins will face Chaparral in their final game.
Game 22 Georgetown Prep (MD) vs Cheyenne (NV)
In the first Championship Semifinal Georgetown got out to a 11 pt halftime lead but Cheyenne fought back and got it down to 2 with about a minute left but the Hoyas held on to victory 68 to 62. Markel Starks held court again going for 28 big ones in the win. Nat Eggleston also had 11 pts for Georgetown Prep. The Desert Shields were led by Chris Mc Call with 24 pts and Brian Organ with 19 pts.
Game 23 Chaparral (NV) vs. Liberty (NV)
Tim Rambo had 5 3 pt goals to help get to a game high 22 pts in the 59 to 43 win over Chaparral. Ashante Ross also had 15 pts for the Patriots. The Cowboys were led by Chris Goodloe with 14 pts in the losing effort. Liberty will move on to face Las Vegas in the 5th place game.
Game 24 Durango (NV) vs. Fairfax (CA)
Fairfax used a key 22 to 12 third quarter to recover from a 4 pt halftime deficit and then stretching that into a 4th quarter lead as big a 12 to help win the second semifinal game. Durango made a comeback late cutting it down to 1 pt with 10 seconds left but Fairfax got the ball in and scored on there end and Durango’s last shot, Greg Gentry’s 65 ft heave, hit front rim and fell off. The Lions win a hard fought game 53 to 50. Fairfax had Jordan Weathers, Ray Barry and Donte Mc Frazier all have 15 pts. Greg Gentry had a game high 17 pts for the Blazers. Devonte Williams had 16 pts in the loss. Durango will face Cheyenne in the third place game and
Fairfax will play Georgetown Prep in the finals.
