Shadow Ridge kept this game close but the Cimarron Spartans owned the fourth quarter. Coach Steve Boyack invited PremierBall was into the  Spartans’ pregame locker room. I could feel the energy that drives the competition high school basketball in its purest form. The anticipation of the game, the thoughts of the unknown and the motivational pep talks truly brings out what this game is all about. (Cimarron-Memorial) Sr. Kevin Olekaibe played the role of a distributor most of the game and still finished with 23 points. Most of his offense came in the fourth quarter of the game. The Spartans’ Ben Dorsey hit two 3’s to keep the Mustangs’ offense honest.

(Shadow Ridge)Shooter Josh Youngblood connected with three 3’s and had 11 for the night. Sophomore (Shadow Ridge)David Everage-2012-List Member was big on the boards and had a team high 19 points. (Shadow Ridge)Zach Hefen also hit three 3’s and finished with 15 points. Shadow Ridge failed to make play offs this year and finished off the year with a 9-13 record.

The Spartans will open up the playoffs against Desert Oasis tomorrow who they have beat this year in the there first match up 81-70. Look for this game to be competitive and decided in the fourth quarter.
