In this report, we’ll go over 20+ prospects in the Pangos Triple Crown event day one.

Headlining the Pangos Triple Crown event was 2016 6’2 (San Diego) Combo Guard Justin Moore who made difficult plays look easy all day long. Moore slashed well, converting unordox lay-ups with both hands and knocking down the long ball from the dribble and the catch. He created space off the dribble and also showed promising speed with length. Moore had the luxury of playing with two camp teammates that also oozed upside.

2016 6’3 G Johnnie Mc Williams, grandson to legendary football coach John Robinson. Mc Williams showed off an advanced offensive package for his age. McWilliams is a shooter with range and on several occasions got to the rim and finished. When needed McWilliams knocked down the mid range when given space.

2016 CG Dikymbe Martin to my knowledge might be the best looking 2016 prospect in the Riverside area. Martin can handle, penetrate and find teammates in the open court. Martin rebounding was one of the key factors for his team going undefeated in day one.

2017 PG (Pacific Palisades) Spencer Freedman was arguably the most polished offensive guard at the camp and is only a 2017 prospect who has not hit his growth spurt as of yet. Freedman combines a knock down jump shot with playmaking abilities for himself or teammates.

2017 PG Kyle Small is tiny like his name but his jump shot and his game is big, smooth & jerky. Small has a very tight stroke and dribble hesi that he frequently for his shot counter which left defenders off balanced. Small was an effective floor leader with a good passing and scoring instincts.

2017 6’1 W Mahleek Gordon out of (Inglewood) has an active motor, quick hands and good offensive instincts. Gordon is athletic and raw but showed long term upside with his natural abilities to grab rebounds outside his area and penetrate in the lanes.

Syracuse great Steve Thompson and UCLA great Charles O’Bannon both had kids in attendance that will be promising prospects in the next 24 months. Ethan Thompson and Charles O’Bannon Jr. both have solid upside with length and touch. they have strong blood-lines with natural abilities.

2016 Prospects

Justin Moore 6’2 San Diego Academy San Diego, Ca- Soft touch; good handle, skinny frame, form is alittle off with the elbow sticking out but still manages to knock down the triple at a high rate. Made consistent plays from the catch and the dribble effortlessly. Definitely one of the strongest campers on day one.

Joseph Wallace 5’8 Woodland Hills, Ca- Would like to see his shot raise up from his hip. Will get a better look throughout day 2.

Isaiah Harris 6’0 deportola San Diego, Ca- Finished well today at the rim. Will get a better look throughout day 2.

Omajae Smith 6’2 Hester academy Lemon Grove, Ca- Nice pass for a layup, good finisher, use both legs, quick, raw, good speed, really athletic,

Joseph Murray 6’2 St. Raymond- Big body space eater who can catch on the block and finish. Undersized at his position but plays hard.

Johnnie McWilliams 6’3 Bay Shore Prep San Diego, Ca- Slippery: good handle, good blood-lines, good finisher and has promising length. Could stretch out to a 6’5+ combo guard. Plays with strong confidence.

Christian Odionh 6’2 St. Benards Inglewood, Ca- Long, big frame prospect who is raw but has a big window to be a good prospect at the wing/ forward position. Needs strong reps and footwork.

Bailey Stout 6’1 Valley Oaks Bakersfield, Ca.- Shoots a knuckle ball but showed his ability to get the rim. One of the better slashers at this event.

Dikymbe Martin 6’0 Gaines MS Riverside, Ca.- Goes by DK; good finisher, athletic, uses a mini hook/layup for close finishes and has  a good handle w/vision. Good looking young guard prospect with strong upside.

Isaac Magellan 5’10 Crossroads Christian center Corona, Ca- developing ball handle, has sum shake to his game, soft touch, shoots from hips, strong upside with quick and a short learning curve.

Vittorio Avila 6’2 La Mirada, Ca- Super length at only 6’2. Rebounded and played big. Question mark. I wonder how tall he will get. 6’6+ with his skill set and style of play would be promising.

Leland Green 6’1 Curtis MS, Compton, Ca.- Big time bold legged athlete that will be one of the most explosive athletes in the Los Angeles area within the next 16-24 months. Excellent defender and super active motor. Athletic stud.

Miles James 6’5 St. Anne Inglewood, Ca- Already a buzzing rumor that James will attend Redondo Union HS. James was definitely one of the strongest campers with 5 star hops and super length for a 6’5 wing/ forward. I only caught James for 15 impressive minutes will see more.

2017 Prospects

Dorian Scott 6’6+ Our Lady MS- One of the better looking 2017 block prospect in the entire camp. Huge hans, feet, blocked a few shots, rebounds and has a plastic man frame that will and should stretch out past 6’10. I see Big-time written all over his name with more reps and time. Great looking prospect out of Nevada.

Anthony Anderson 4’11 Calavera Hills MS- really small, quick hands and feet. Needs more length but liked his effort and made sum plays.

Aleczander Check 6’0 Tevis Bakersfield, Ca-Nice size guard for his age, good vision with an average good handle.

Jamal Hartwell 5’4 Laces Los Angeles– Good handle and control. Point guard who made a few plays.

Arthur Weimbolt 5’3 Los Alisos MS -Quick, good handle and finish at the rim on a few plays.

Spencer Freedman 5’8 Palisades, Ca-Strong  finisher, good change and speed, change of direction, nice stroke, finishes with both hands, creative finisher and extremely advanced for his age. Big time upside. He’s a player right now.

Kyle Small 5’2 Orange View, Anaheim, Ca- Good finisher, nice stroke, good hesitation and guard skills.

Mahleek Gordon 5’9 Crozier Inglewood, Ca- Lanky, descent ball handler, aggressive athletic- large ceiling, good slasher with touch just needs reps!

Deshawn Wilson 6’4 Las Vegas, NV- Plays raw but big time athlete with a big time body, good rebounder, big frame, athletic/ strong and his upside is large.

Billy Preston 6’4 Pioneer Irvine, Ca- Handled ball well for his size, nice size body, multiple position player, (motor?) settles a whole lot but has the tools to be special when he wants. Preston has the upside to be the stud of this class if he can get his motor running at all times.

Christopher Hawkins 5’4 Del Webb MS. Las Vegas, NV- Strong handle, shoots a low release but with space is a knock down shooter. Love his motor and defensive instincts. Made play after play in Day one.

Isaiah Bowers - Showed sum quality plays in transitions.

Kameron Khabeer 5’7 Parent MS- Displayed high end vision, quick handle, form of a jump shot is alittle off, uses both hands on his finish. Good looking play maker who is will be a prospect within the next 24-36 months. Good IQ.

Ethan Thompson 5’10 Coast Christian MS Gardena, CA. –Long  prospect with a solid skill-set. Jump shot has nice touch with strong form. Might be bigger than his older brother Stevie Jr. at the same stage. Will be a prospect within the next 24 months. Strong creator off the dribble.
