Premierball sat down with one of the most explosive scoring sophomores in the country.
Marcus Lovett, Jr.. originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana has strong midwest ties which was evident when he decided to lace his Nikes up with The Chicago powerhouse program Mac Irvin Fire.
Lovett capped off an impressive freshman year averaging over 30+ his freshman year at Providence H.S. and playing up 17 and under in the most competitive AAU circuit.
Premierball will continue to follow Lovett’s recruiting up close for the next 24-32 months.

Marcus Lovett, Jr.: Good learning experience. It was fun traveling to different cities playing the best of the best.
Who was your favorite teammate on the Fire?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: Jahlil and Russell. But I get along with all the Mac Irvin guys.
You had a great game this morning .. can you break down that first half?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: I just felt confident and teammates kicked it out a I knocked down 4 threes and had 19 at half.
What are your plans for your sophomore season?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: At the moment still discussing.
What’s your biggest strength?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: Scoring and getting to the basket and setting my teammates up.
What skill set are you working on?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: Getting stronger and becoming more efficient and talking on the floor.
What was your biggest challenge?
Marcus Lovett, Jr.: Playing elite guards and teams and being prepare for the competition.
How many days are you in the gym?
